I’m reminded of a book, Banker to the Poor. I haven’t read it but heard very good reviews about it, even Regent College (in Vancouver BC) has brought it up for discussion. http://www.bankertothepoor.com/bankertothepoor/
Just finished the Chalmer’s Foundations of Holistic Ministry and we used When Helping Hurts as our textbook. I recommend the book highly. It opens up a whole new way to do urban missions for me. I would also like to recommend the courses offered by Chalmer’s Center.
