The eight lessons explore more than 100 Bible passages and include video introductions, memory verses, inspiring quotes, reflection questions, and people-group profiles to pray through. Sound familiar? This study, by Jeff Lewis, was first published in 2002 but has just been updated. You could work through it on your own, discuss it with a group, or include it in the preparation process for short-term teams. Last week, I saw this study for the first time. It’s the real deal. It will take you deeper, help you stay longer, and give you a reality check not only regarding your faith, but also your calling. Highly recommended.
We’re currently looking at using the Engage course offered at discoverdmm.com to train our disciples.
After a brief look at this book’s summary, it would look more like Kairos or Perspectives in a book study form…
Could anyone familiar with this study comment. Is it more a tool for wordview transformation or more a tool to equip for ministry?
I was the project manager for this; contact me directly if you like. This is really just a Bible study on what is often called “the biblical basis for missions.” Does not do history/culture/strategy. Not a whole training course for future workers. Could be just as useful for people who never go overseas. I posted a flier here if you want to take a look. http://missionscatalyst.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/GHFTN-flier2.pdf
