As many as one-half of our readership live in what some call the developing world where conditions are not favorable for their financial situation. Many of them appreciate the chance to stay informed about resources for global missions. They couldn’t afford to pay a subscription fee to a missions magazine, but they *can* afford Brigada, because every issue is delivered to them free of charge. Want to say thanks, in their place? Just click on one of the “Donor” links at the top of this page. Both are safe, the one with PayPal and the other with one of the most well-known “real” online merchants on the web. Neither requires you to open an account with anyone … and neither ever spams you. Or, if you prefer, just send an old-fashioned check payable to Team Expansion to: Team Expansion (Brigada), 13711 Willow Reed Dr., Louisville, KY 40299. (Team Expansion is a 501(c)3 incorporation so for USA citizens, your checks made out to Team Expansion are tax-deductible.) As always, be sure to let us know if you’d like us to promote any particular service or ministry, or if you’d prefer your gift be anonymous. And thank you in advance for helping.

Dear Doug:
I’ve been thinking about your comments “From US Army Ranger to Kingdom Worker.” Over 35 years ago I did complete that Army Ranger training. In hindsight I view that “success” with very mixed emotions. While I am grateful and know that God used that in my life, I am also aware of the enormous sense of false pride and self sufficiency that was instilled in me by that training. If I might barrow Sheldon Vanauken’s book title, you son may have received a “Severe Mercy” that protected him from something that would have kept him or hindered him from a much deeper love of God and availability to serve him. I wonder how we will view all these things when we get to heaven?
You very well could be right, Brad. Thanks.
Doug
