The secret is – build a relationship with a tax-preparer in the off-season. In this way, a) they don’t look at you with annoyance when you ask them to help you on April 10th and b) they can give you guidance as to how to prepare so they have all the right stuff come spring. Brigada did an item on tax-preparers way back in 2012. We recently contacted all the tax-preparers who bubbled up during that analysis to learn which ones were still at it. (Some are, some aren’t.) Want to see a list? Click “Read More,” below. But even better – if you’ve found a tax-preparer you love (who is accepting new clients), please share the joy and list your fave in the comments below. God bless you.
