Have you seen the USA TSA charts at https://www.tsa.gov/coronavirus/passenger-throughput? One Brigada participant wrote recently, sobered by the raw data there. (Thanks Caleb!) Although difficult for airline employees, the reductions in flying are good news for the planet. If we don’t continue to reduce carbon emissions, the effects of climate change are likely to cause devastation for hundreds of thousands of our brothers and sisters around the world.
Agree with Dr. Hawker above. One thing many people have already pointed out is COVID is forcing us to examine our own habits, routines and beliefs. Often that is a good thing for the long run. One of the best quote I heard recently goes something like “if we all buy only what we need, the economy will collapse”
