The answer to your last question is indeed the one we need to seek. The hurdle is found in our pride, our biases, our minds are typically already made up.
Let us surrender our wills to Christ our Lord, let us prayerfully search the scriptures, let us listen carefully, let us act in truth and love as if there were no tomorrow. I pray that God will give us the answer and the means to stop this sinfulness, to his glory.
