Have you got a special use for an offline app that we haven’t mentioned above? Just use the comment box below to ask. I have a hunch that SOMEBODY in the Brigada audience will have tried to create or find a solution for you. Try it. Just click Comment.
I’d like to submit two apps for your consideration:
Estante is a simple Android digital library app that allows a person to add their own resources or content they’ve downloaded from the internet. Resources can also be shared between users of Estante, or to users of simpler phones using Bluetooth.
and DE-Scribe is a Windows-based content authoring tool that excels at creating offline web-based content. You can create simple courses, eBook-style resources, or presentations in any language and include quiz/response functionality.
Content created in DE-Scribe can be used directly in Estante, run from a microSD card, hosted on a webserver, or packaged as a mobile app.
Both apps were created by the Learning Technologies division of Mission Aviation Fellowship.
Hi,
I’m in the process of creating a website before I move overseas (hopefully in July). I have set up a prayer calendar whereby supporters commit to praying for me on the same date each month, e.g. the 10th of every month. I am looking for an app that would provide the facility for prayer partners to access and insert their prayer points and also where they can see my prayer points, but I don’t want all the prayer supporters seeing everyone else’s name – they should however be able to see that, for example, 3 people have committed to praying on the 10th and 4 people on the 5th, so new people can make a decision to commit on a day that doesn’t have that many supporters. I hope this makes sense.
Let me know if there is anything that would provide such facilities- it would also be good to have a photo of each supporter.
Blessings, Manda
Manda, did you ever find something? I’m lookin for the same thing, preferable with push notifications.
