Wycliffe Associates is requesting prayer for the peoples of Papua New Guinea, where a total of 836 living languages are spoken. They’re hoping to launch up to 100 new language projects this year in the Sepik River Region of the northwestern part of the island, where isolated groups have no Scripture in their own language. Churches of Christ out of Australia have been serving on the Sepek for over 50 years both they and Pioneer Bible Translators have made translations. PBT still there. Aus CoC have now left the work to locals helping when asked..
