It appears that the Promotional code, hurricanesafe, can also be used to upgrade the amount of storage on an existing account. My free account had 2GB. I went to My Account page, clicked on ‘Upgrade My Plan,’ entered ‘hurricanesafe’ in the Promo code box, clicked ‘Update’, and the options for upgrading changed to include “5 gigs free” under Monthly Billing. I clicked “Next” and then “Confirm” on the next page and my available free space jumped from 2GB to 6GB (not 7GB as I expected — but, hey, it’s an additional 4GB free).
