Last week, our 5th item mentioned a free book (See “Great Free Resource Book to Understand Americans” in the Dec. 25th Brigada). We mistakenly suggested that you would need a Kindle… but as two readers reminded me (Thanks Lissa and Hanna), you can also create a Kindle account for your PC. Just use your search engine to hunt for “install Kindle for PC” and you’ll be able to read this book on your laptop absolutely free, without even having to purchase a Kindle.
There are also Kindle apps for just about any platform (http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=kcp_ipad_mkt_lnd?docId=1000493771)
I have an Android phone with the Kindle app installed and downloaded the book to it without any problem.
When I search for it, it shows price of $9.99. How can you get it for free? The link in the Dec. 25 Brigada points to “Our Sponsors” page.
I use Kindle for Mac from Amazon on my iMac. it’s great!
Brian.
Thanks for the tip. I downloaded it to my iPad, but might as easily have gotten it on my iPod touch or Mac.
My co-worker noticed today, though, that the book was no longer free, but only a sample of it via Kindle. A limited time offer, I guess.
I can’t find the book for free anymore on Amazon $13.79 for the UK, or anywhere the Internet, can anyone send me a copy they downloaded earlier. les.norman@dci.org.uk
The same here from Germany. I’d love to get a copy that somebody downloaded earlier
thanks in advance
