Just click on one of the “Donor” links at the top of this page. Both are safe, the one with PayPal and the other with Authorize.net. Neither requires you to open an account with anyone … and neither ever spams you. We can even set up a regular once-a-month automatic withdraw from your checking account or major credit card. Set it up once and rest easily, knowing that you’re regularly helping get Brigada on the way to the nations. Or, if you prefer, just send an old-fashioned check payable to Team Expansion to: Team Expansion (Brigada), 13711 Willow Reed Dr., Louisville, KY 40299. (Team Expansion is a 501(c)3 incorporation so for USA citizens, your checks made out to Team Expansion are tax-deductible.) A gift of any size would help, whether monthly or one-time. If you know someone else who might like to help, just hit reply and tell us about him/her/them. Thank you for your help in fueling the fire of Brigada!

Interesting article from the BBC. I’ll share some observatons, but will admit that I am not an expert on China, but am kept abreast of the activities in many countries. The official state church – the 3-Self church, has many priests and pastors that are graduates of the official seminaries. These seminaries and churches have existed a while. You can go into the 3-Self church bookstores and buy Bibles and other items such as wall calendars with scriptures so there is a degree of openness. Most of the 3-Self churches are sparcely attended and mostly by old folks. It is a state-run church with the priests/pastors well controlled with their messages. They are similar to what was seen in Russia during Stalin’s reign. The truly active evangelical movement keeps itself separated from the state-churches because there is little trust in them. The article certainly helps to support China’s effort for showing they allow religious tolerance. A noiticable drop in persecution at the moment, but historically it runs in cycles.
There is a growing nationalistic movement within the military but time will tell how that movement will impact the underground churches.
