Here’s a team headed into an area of Africa so desolate, there’s no internet for miles and miles around. They’ll have to rely on satellite. Do we have any Brigada users who are currently relying on fixed or portable satellite internet solutions? Let’s refresh this topic (that we’ve featured previously) with the most up-to-date offerings for this team with children. Please click on “Comment” below and share with the Brigada family your favorite Satellite internet solution.

I would contact Missionary Aviation Fellowship.
They have worked in that area.

MAF also provides telecommunications services, such as satellite Internet access, high frequency radios, electronic mail and other wireless systems.
Here are some secular places below.
I don’t know much about them.

I would suggest checking with hughesnet. I am a missionary in Honduras. I made an account in the US then brought my satellite system to Honduras and it works well. You would have to check to see if HughesNet has a foot print over Africa first. I know when doing some research that there were some special systems but they cost a good bit.
These guys have put together some nice resources. The BGAN satellite modem seems to be a good solution for data. http://www.humaninet.org/wis/satcom/index.shtm
