  1. TESOL SCHOOL IN HAWAII– The next University of the Nations TESOL Course (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) will be held in Kona, Hawaii, beginning Feb. 17, 2003. This course will equip you to teach English & open doors for you anywhere in the world you may be led to go. This is a four-week academic curriculum with a two week practicum following immediately. The exact schedule is from Feb. 17th to Mar. 28th, 2003. For more information & application forms contact . </admissions@uofnkona.edu>

  2. FINALLY… A SUREFIRE WAY TO UNINSTALL — Tired of trying out software, only to find you can’t uninstall it after you try it? Get PC Mag’s new “Unclean 2” for free! Just log onto http://www.pcmag.com/utilities . It runs under virtually all versions of Windows, provides full and clear access to all available uninstall information from the Registry, and even lets you delete those pesky no- longer-valid uninstall entries in the “Add/Remove Programs” applet. In my opinion, that *alone* qualifies this utility for use! :-) And the price is right! :-) Free!

  3. PRAY FOR THE PERSECUTED CHURCH — The World Evangelical Alliance Religious Liberty Commission invites every Christian around the world to join them in the International day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP). According to organizers, more than 200 million brothers and sisters in Christ today lack full religious freedom simply because they confess Jesus Christ as Lord. On 10 and 17 November, they’re staging a joint day to come alongside them in prayer. Check it out at http://www.idop.org beginning today.

  4. GET ALL OF PERSPECTIVES IN UNDER A MONTH, IN AMSTERDAM — Caleb Project Europe will host Perspectives classes in Amsterdam in January and June of 2003. The courses will feature the same great content we’ve come to know and love from Perspectives, plus students will spend time most afternoons on the streets of Amsterdam connecting with Turks and Moroccans living there. This could be a great chance to take Perspectives, or take it again, and get a good introduction to church planting among Muslims. For more information, email Shane at <discoveryteams@cproject.com> or go to http://www.calebproject.org/CPE/cpeShortTerm.asp . </discoveryteams@cproject.com>

  5. DENTAL TRAINING FOR MISSIONARIES — Now you can learn a practical skill in which you can demonstrate the love of Christ and open the hearts of unreached peoples to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Dental disease is the most common disease in the world. In just two weeks, Dentistry For Missions can introduce you to approaches that will help you bring greatly needed dental care to your community. Two-week courses are being offered each month. http://www.dentistryformissions.com or e-mail <dentistryformissions@worldnet.att.net>. </dentistryformissions@worldnet.att.net>

  7. HOW DO ADULTS ACTUALLY LEARN ANYTHING? — Your answer affects how you teach. The Web Evangelism Guide has a new page on the subject:

  8. SERVESAINTS GETTING GREAT REVIEWS — We’re hearing great things back from ServeSaints new website at http://www.servesaints.com/ . A worker in Brazil wrote us this past week to say, “…great, free service where missionaries (and others in full or part-time ministry) can quickly and easily create their own homepages, which can then be easily updated with newsletters, needs, praise items and prayer requests. … I was extremely pleased with the site that I was able to create within an hour or so – I’m now using it as my main homepage.”

  9. ELIJAH COMPANY MISSIONARY TRAINING CAMPS — Practical, scriptural, relational, effective, intensive. A good jump start for those called to missions work in unreached nations. Important also for church missions leaders to understand missionary preparation and sustenance. Conducted by a team of experienced missionaries encompassing more than eighty countries. The next camps are at the Triple R Ranch, Chesapeake, Virginia. Nov 14-17, 2002; Jan 30-Feb 3, 2003. Limit 100 people. Cost $200 includes food and lodging.
