  1. PEOPLETEAMS TOPS 500 WEB SITES — PeopleTeams.org now has 502 Web sites on its service. Launched 18 months ago as a people group advocacy Web site, PeopleTeams has amazed everyone by its receptivity. There are 293 teams of missionaries who are actually hosted by PT. Each team produces their own Web site in a secure environment by using an account name and password provided by PT’s web managers. Another 209 Web sites have requested a link be listed. A new search feature was added this year. Visitors to PeopleTeams may now search within regions by country or by alphabetical listing. Another unique feature is the ever-growing “Toolbox” page listing dozens of advocacy-related resources. More than 8,000 unique users generate more than 300,000 hits every month. The most frequently visited Web sites are an international mix with increases in interaction based on individual team promotion. For instance, the Dong of China Web site was consistently #1 for months during an intensive prayer focus. Others, such as the Persian-Speaking World, came to the forefront after the war began in Afghanistan. PeopleTeams is hosted by a Great Commission Christian organization that remains anonymous in order to foster a teambuilding environment.
