After a half-dozen books on prayer journeys (praying “on-site with insight”), it seems, at least to me, that the fountain dried up. Did prayer-walking? I don’t think so. Yet, I can’t recall when I saw the last fresh new book about it. If you know of one, please jog our memory by clicking “Comment” below and telling us.

I have been on 3 prayer journeys, have helped others take place and have seen some students really take hold of it. I think some folks really question the validity of praying onsite with insight. I don’t get t do that many mission trips in a year’s time, or else I would love to lead one every year. I hope this tool does not go away.
One follow up comment I have is the whole general topic of how do you motivate people to pray ? Are people just not interested or is God not drawing them?
I will say that out of the 3 trips I have been on, I have felt very positive results have. One from two
Of them
Not aware of any new resources, but two thoughts: prayerwalking is “easy” enough that one might be tempted to skip training and casting vision for it, but both can go a long way in making the experience meaningful and life-changing. And a prayer journey could really make a difference in motivating people to (continue to) pray!
I raised a similar question in a 2008 edition of our ezine, and provided a few links. See http://missionscatalyst.net/?p=204
