will my subscribers (that is, the members of our organization, or the donors with whom I’m communicating, or our prayer chain) be slammed by text-messaging scammers? Is $9/month a reasonable rate? … or are there other ways to go about it? Who knows about this sort of thing? Either way, we need to find a resource that we can trust. Several organizations routinely our service to contact donors. It’s fairly simple to setup and manage. There are ways to send texts cheaper if you do so via email, but the delivery rate can be abysmal – it’s rare for more than half your recipients to receive your message if sent via email. The NumberText.com service does not send via email, and as a result has a delivery rate greater than 99%.
Appreciate the consideration!
