  1. HOW TO DE-STRESS HOME SERVICE — Thanks to Phil for gathering this info — What are good ways to make less obtrusive housing arrangements, saving money, scheduling visits & reports and connecting with people? How to insure quality time with family and friends who have busy lives and maybe haven’t seen you in a long time?! To get a copy via email, just send a note to: home-service@brigada.org

    Thanks Phil!

  2. CLOSURE OF THE TEE RESOURCE CENTRE — As of the end of June 2002, the TEE Resource Centre based at All Nations Christian College closed. It was originally set up jointly by The Evangelical Literature Trust (ELT) and All Nations Christian College (ANCC), and both organisations are glad to have had a part in getting the TEE Data Base (now online – see below) off the ground, but unfortunately for various reasons, neither are in a position to continue with their commitment to the project. The organizers have requested that we please do not send any further communications to the Tee Centre.

  3. TEE DATABASE GOES ON LINE! — Following negotiations with the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA – formerly WEF) the information on the TEE database became available on-line through their Global Mission web-site as of this month. For those wishing to become new members and add TEE data: Go to the login page: http://www.globalmission.org/tools/member/login.htm and follow the OPEN NEW ACCOUNT link. Follow the instructions provided online. For those simply wanting to enquire about TEE courses, or to search the TEE database, visit: http://www.globalmission.org where you are supposed to eventually find a link to access the TEE Database. Then use the search form provided online.

  4. HEALTH INSURANCE FOR SMALL GROUPS — Here’s an agency with group health insurance available for teams as small as two missionary units. Coverage includes maternity, preventative care, medical evacuation, furlough coverage, life and in some cases dental. If you’re on group insurance for 18 months when returning to USA, there is automatic coverage (no declines) on HIPAA/Portability plans. For an electronic or hard-copy information packet contact: or call 480/813-9100; Toll free in USA: 866/636-9100. Check out http://www.gninsurance.com and http://www.missionaryinsurance.org . </jeff@gninsurance.com>

  5. TIRED OF POP-UP ADS? — Tired of all those annoying sponsors PopUp’s that get displayed when you visit some WEB sites? PopUp Killer is the original and most powerful popups destroying- machine ever created. This program is 100% free, which means that you can copy it, use it as in many machines as you like, and make as many backup copies as you like. The web site for Software Development can be reached at:

    http://software.xfx.net/

  6. USING CDs, VIDEOCDs and DVDs FOR EVANGELISM — Here you’ll find lots of ideas, links and resources for creating or purchasing CDs that will effectively communicate the Gospel: http://www.web-evangelism.com/resources/cd-evangelism.php

  7. BI-VOCATIONAL PASTORS AND MISSIONARIES — Joe is a tentmaker missionary from a restricted-access country who represents a non-profit Christian organization specializing in mentoring ministers who are bi- vocational to efficiently raise ministry and personal funds so that they can devote more time and resources to their calling. They also work with full time ministers that have a need for additional ministry funds or retirement income working from home with very flexible hours. This is a perfect tentmaker business that is already in 63 countries. Dial toll-free 866-861-8376 and leave your phone number and the best time to call at the end of the recorded message, or Email Joe at in order to receive a text version with more information. Pass this along to those you know who may find this useful. </mjb@securenym.net>

  8. CHURCH WEBSITES — There are more church sites than any other sort of Christian page. They have great potential for evangelism – but only if they are designed with this in mind. A detailed resource page sets out a range of strategies that are working successfully for many churches: http://www.web-evangelism.com/resources/church-pages.php

And it is possible to directly insert this content into your own website, just by copying a line of javascript onto one of your pages: http://www.web-evangelism.com/resources/churchpage-insert.php

  9. THE PLAN: A MISSIONS-MANDATE MELODRAMA — Here’s a one hour interactive, overly dramatic presentation which demonstrates that God’s salvation plan to reach all peoples [cheer!] is the central theme of the whole Bible. THE PLAN can be performed by the “well-rehearsed” or “barely briefed” and easily involves all generations [clap, stomp] in the play. The melodrama is available from the Presbyterian Center for Mission Studies, 1605 E. Elizabeth St., Pasadena, CA, and sells for $12.95 plus S & H. Check out: http://www.prescms.org/pcms_resources.html , email <pcms@uscwm.org> or call 626 398 2468. Only one copy of the plan is needed [big sigh] and you can reproduce as many pages as you need for the cast [applause]. </pcms@uscwm.org>
