If not, maybe you should. Missio Nexus was citing a recent Brotherhood Mutual article about “Virtual Kidnappings.” What’s a Virtual Kidnapping? As the Brotherhood Mutual article describes, “Although the kidnapped person is never physically taken captive, the extortion threat is real. And it’s hard to know what to do if it happens to you.” It’s worth a look. If you’re thinking like we are, you’re probably thinking, “Won’t our friends and loved ones simply try to contact us first to see if we’ve really been taken?” Maybe. But hey… there are so many scams these days, it’s probably worth the look, just to make sure they *do* so. Check out the article at https://www.brotherhoodmutual.com/resources/safety-library/risk-management-articles/mission-travel/virtual-kidnapping/. (Yes, we know that Brotherhood Mutual is probably silently hoping to do some marketing through this, but it’s still a good article. : )
