- SO WHY THE BACK DATE??? — So why in the *world* are Brigada Today editions dated, in many instances, in the past? Think of it this way. It’s kind of like getting those National Geographic magazines, when you live overseas. You know… the ones your Uncle Fred mails to you. By the time you get them, the date is sometimes 3 or 4 weeks past… (Unfortunately, sometimes we get behind. :-( ) But the great thing is, if you’re saving the whole set, they’ll eventually all be there for the whole year! :
- TRACTS ABOUT THE TRAGEDIES OF SEPT. 11 — Get the free listing by sending a blank email to
. (Note that this address is slightly different than the one originally published, which began with the *number* and didn’t work on our new mail server.) </tracts-9-11@brigada.org> - DID YOU KNOW… (FACTS ABOUT UNREACHED PEOPLES) — Did you know that if you add up the population of all the world’s people groups with populations less than 10,000, you get a total of less than 20 million? (lots of groups, not so many people) …And that the total living in groups considered “least reached” (no church of 100 worshipping in their midst) is less than 6 million? …And that the original Joshua Project 2000 list (released at “The Launch” in Colorado Springs in November of ’95) con
(We culled these and other facts from a couple of very helpful exchanges with Dan Scribner, the “stats guru” from the JP 2000 list since its inception. He was kind enough to answer several key questions about the new Joshua Project thrust. See more at http://www.joshuaproject.net/ Thanks Dan!)
- INTERESTED IN THE HISTORY OF THE SPANISH BIBLE? — Jon wanted this information for his Bible Institute class, and found it hard to come by. Some sleuthing on the web turned up what he needed, but you could save yourself the digging by writing him and requesting the info in Spanish or English. <jonekblad@writeme.com> </jonekblad@writeme.com>
- COME TO THE WORSHIP NETWORK AT HOPE 21 — The first meeting of the “Worship Network” will be at the upcoming HOPE 21 conference, a major pan-European conference for evangelicals taking place in Budapest, Hungary, April 27-May 1, 2002. HOPE 21 purposes to “impart a fresh sense of vision, hope and responsibility towards the re-evangelization of Europe”. Go to be strengthened and encouraged, network, plan. For more information on plenary sessions, and registration details contact Dave

- WHERE CAN ONE BUY DEHYDRATED GRAPEJUICE? — Now before you go thinking that we’ve died on the vine [wah-cah-wah-cah! :-)], keep in mind that some don’t like to use grape Kool-Aid for communion. So, if you’ve got a secret source for real live grape juice, send it to Lee <higtac@juno.com> who will collect sources, send us the compilation, then we’ll make it available to all. Thanks!
- COLUMBIA’S INSTITUTE OF MUSLIM STUDIES — Slated for July 8-August 2, Columbia International University will host an Institute for Islamic studies designed for field worker candidates, workers on home leave, professional tentmakers in a Muslim country, pastors in an area where there is a growing number of Muslims, and students sensing God’s call to Muslim ministry. - RESOURCES FOR LEARNING ABOUT AFGHANISTAN — The U.N. has a web site on humanitarian crises, for areas of the world. Lots of up to date info. http://www.reliefweb.int . There’s auto email access; but use discernment. Mission Network News every day on the radio is a super missions vision builder. They might have a radio log on the web site. You can search the archives, i.e. Afghanistan, http://www.gospelcom.net/mnn or search there for talking tracts for Afghanistan.
