What type of outreach do you have to the international students in your area? We’ve recently come across International Friendships, Inc (IFI). IFI is a national organization partnering with local churches, universities, and volunteers to provide life-changing hospitality and friendship to international students. They work strategically to make the world feel at home and extend God’s love globally. Check it out at https://www.ifiusa.org/. Please comment with your favorite outreach to your students.
Three options I like at Purdue –
1. International Friendship Program: Coming to West Lafayette this August! Campus will be abuzz in August when over 2,500 new international students will be arriving to study on the Purdue campus. Consider the impact many of these students will have when they will return home as future leaders in their fields. And you can play a part! Contact: friendship@purdue.edu.
2. ISI Supper Club: Register to be a host of an international student. Hosts will be given their assigned students (2-4) for the semester. The hosts and students will meet at the Kick-Off event. After the Kick-Off, hosts will invite students over to their home for 2 meals throughout the remainder of the semester. https://form.jotform.com/220445956937063
3. China Outreach – https://romanin.wordpress.com/china-outreach-ministries/ or https://www.chinaoutreach.org/about/about.html
