“Sarah” wrote this past week (name changed as a courtesy) asking for help with reentry. She wrote, “Will you kindly post reentry links and resources? It isn’t easy to do.” Gulp. My heart goes out to her. So let’s put our thinking caps on. What are the best books on Reentry? Are Clyde Austin’s landmark works still among the best? What books would you recommend? Which websites? What conferences should she attend? Is MTI’s “DAR” the best? Please share your best resources, for Sarah and everybody like her who didn’t write but is feeling the confusion. Just click “Comment” after the web version of this item. Thank you.

Missionary Care has some great re-entry resources (including free download-able books). http://missionarycare.com/reentry.htm
I would recommend MTI’s DAR. I went there for training and was very impressed. I wish I had gone through their program when my family and I came off the mission field. Now I will be helping my own agencies people as they come off the field. MTI is excellent.
Alongside’s 2 or 3 week Renewal & Growth Retreats are good “tune-ups” for anyone coming back from the field for home assignment, much less for more permanent re-entry. alongsidecares dot net

Did you mean Peter Jordan as the author of “Re-Entry: Making the Transition from Missions to Life at Home”?
