6) Coaching for Global Workers: What It Is and Why It Matters
One of my big goals for the missions coaching I do with new candidates focuses on them being “mission ready”:
– Give them cross culture basics with links to deeper awareness. CQ- cultural intelligence.
– Help them know themselves through multiple assessments (like spiritual gifts, personality etc) which also helps them accept and honor others on their teams who are different than they are.
– Advise traditional and marketplace workers to value and support each other as they all shine Jesus strongly in their said “communities”.
– Insure strong verbal testimonies, both “elevator” talks (with exchange of contact info) AND the ability to do DBS or similar evangelism.
