If you haven’t tried Google NotebookLM yet, it’s worth a look. Upload up to 50 sources (PDFs, Word docs, URLs, YouTube videos, even EPUB files) and NotebookLM lets you ask questions, generate summaries, and extract insights, all drawing only from what you’ve uploaded rather than the open internet.
Recent updates have made it even more useful. You can now generate audio overviews, cinematic video summaries, mind maps, infographics, and slide decks from your sources, and export them as PDFs or PowerPoint files. For field workers doing people-group research, mobilizers building training materials, or agency leaders synthesizing strategy documents, this could be a real time-saver.
The free tier is generous, and there’s no special signup required beyond a Google account. Check it out at notebooklm.google. Have you tried it? Please comment.
