If you’re equipping Christians for cross‑cultural work in Spanish‑ or French‑speaking contexts, take a look at Dreaming.com. Dreaming’s app delivers thousands of videos in Spanish and French, organized by difficulty level (super‑beginner to advanced), so learners can immerse themselves in real topics they care about — from day one.
The platform is rooted in comprehensible‑input theory, reflecting decades of research on how the brain naturally acquires languages. It tracks hours of input and milestones, helping users see progress without relying on drills or vocabulary lists, and it’s designed to fit into everyday life — commutes, cooking, or downtime — with an offline‑friendly mobile app.

Hmm. Well… I can see the value of brushing up on my Spanish AND learning some French, so I decided to check this out.
After creating an account, I began with the Superbeginner series. I was expecting some basics like, “My name is _____” or “This is an apple.” What was the first video? “Am I pregnant?”, in which a young woman discovers she has an unwanted pregnancy and ponders who, of the many men she was with the month before, is the father. Among the many other gems in the Superbeginner series are “Who the h___ is Mimi?”, “The Tinder date master plan” and “5 Mexican drinks that are better than tequilla.”
Depending on your expectations and tolerances, this could really disgust you and/or be really great preparation for ministry in another language.
