CarePortal.org is a technology platform that helps churches and ministry teams respond to real needs in their communities. When a social worker, school, or ministry partner identifies a family or child in crisis (housing, food, transportation, stability), CarePortal broadcasts those real requests to nearby churches and volunteers—turning compassion into action. It’s a practical tool for churches that want to mobilize members to live out their faith with tangible, neighborhood-level engagement. Whether your team is already involved in community care or looking for a simple way to connect prayer and practical help, CarePortal makes it easier to respond locally and collaboratively. 6) Connecting Local Needs with Church Action
Care Portal has been a huge blessing to our church and to our community. It provides a hands-on way for people with the spiritual gifts of giving and serving to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable families. In today’s environment, after the overturn of Roe v. Wade and our state’s embrace of legal abortion, Care Portal gives those with a passion for life a way to impact individual decisions to parent a baby by insuring that local ministry partners have access to resources that they can provide. Interestingly, there has been an impact on social services case workers and teachers in public schools as they have seen churches throughout our community coming together to meet the needs of those they care for.
Because Care Portal is so comprehensive, it can be a bit daunting to figure out how it works. But if it is available in your community, they have excellent resource people who can help individual and churches see where they fit in and get connected.
